On June 11, finally the kidney transplant for Salvator took place in New Delhi. His sister Marianne donated a kidney to him!
We get good news from New Delhi almost every day now:
Both have survived the surgery without any problems, they are doing very well. Salvator could meanwhile leave the intensive care unit to a normal unit and is already taking his first steps without pain. He is of course continuously checked regularly.
Marianne could even leave the hospital and is back in the apartment close to the hospital. She is still being examined regularly as an outpatient.
We hope that this positive development will continue and are very happy!
